You name it, we've got it!

We've come to learn that the weather in Seattle is seriously unpredictable and changes with a drop of the hat. On Saturday, we had some sunshine, some rain, a bout of hail and tons of snow - all in 24 hours.  Its never boring.

Unveiling....Veil

"Dine Around Seattle" is a bi-annual promotion where 30 of Seattle's best restaurants offer a 3 course meal for $30.  On Sunday night, we decided to try Veil Restaurant located in the lower Queen Anne neighborhood with Antje and Mas.  Antje and I made a selection from their choices of a 3 course meal (with wine pairing for an extra $15 ea) while Will and Mas eyed the lambshank that was not part of the promotion but it was our lucky day, they actually accept "Microsoft passport" so Will and Mas' lambshank entree was a "buy-one-get-one-free".  Nice!

Mas was pleased with his appetizer.

Antje was very proud. Her choice of "Spring Carrot Soup" was the most yummilicious.

It was a wonderful way to wind down the weekend - with good food, good wine and good friends.

Happy Birthday Emil!

Mag: Emil is turning another year older, another year wiser on Monday. We threw him a surprise birthday dinner on Saturday night at a quaint little Italian restaurant called La Fontana in Seattle. He was caught totally off guard and we all had a fabulous time.

Will: After dinner, we adjourned to a local pool/dance club down the street. Emil had enough beers that he even got up on the dance floor and boogied down with the girls. Besides seeing Emil flap his arms around while running down the street, I don't think I have ever seen him dance before. What a night!

Will's new toy

After much contemplation, Will finally decided to purchase his dream camera & lens - the latest Nikon D300 and 18-200mm Nikkor lens (blah blah blah) - after seeking my approval of course. Since placing the order, Will has been tracking the shipping on Fedex.com everyday ("Its in Salt Lake City right now!"). The camera was due to arrive today at my office. He restrained himself and only called me twice to check on the status of the delivery. When we got home, he opened up the package like it was Christmas Day.
