Crab Fest 2008

On Sunday, we invited our friends over for a lot of dungeness crabs, some garlic noodles, assorted vege dishes and Antje's famous pink guava cake. We prepared the crabs 2 ways - boiled, with ponzu and ginger sauce and fried with the store bought Singapore Chili crab paste from Prima Taste. Thank God for Mas who showed us how to clean 'em so we can cook 'em. They were delish!

Homeland Security

We knew we had a mother deer and her fawn frequenting our backyards for a while.  On Saturday, we decided to mend the net between our wood fence and the greenbelt to deter further visits.  It wasn't as much of a drag as I thought it would be.  Will accomplished the mission quickly and satisfactorily. I helped!

Friday night dinner at Ray's Cafe

We started off Labor Day weekend with dinner at Rays' cafe, one of our favorite restaurants in Seattle. It was a little chilly that evening but the cafe provided warm fleece throws. Good times!

Our 5th year wedding anniversary

Will can't pull off a surprise or keep a secret from me to save his life.  Nevertheless, he tries.

That Friday morning before we left for work, he was in our home office printing.  Printing?? I knew something was up.  When at 4.50pm, he called me to come pick him up from work NOW because we have to be "somewhere", I knew he made reservations for dinner and I knew it was at Serafina because it is the only restaurant we had mentioned we should try sometime.  Of course, I was right.  When we got to the restaurant, the hostess was so kind to reiterate that they are aware we have "tickets" and they will make sure to get us out in time.  Will didn't know whether to shush her up or pretend he didn't know what she was talking about.  Too late.  Cat's outta the bag.  So...tada...the program after dinner was tickets to A Chorus Line.  Dinner was wonderful and the musical (which is actually the longest running show in Broadway history) was fun though not smashing.  It was A for effort.  Will's I mean.
