Brunch at B & O Espresso

A few Saturdays ago, Will and I had brunch at B & O Espresso. It was a quiet, rainy Seattle morning - nice to sit by the window and enjoy the start of the day.

Weekend of Mantje

How many days can one spend with Mas and Antje before one starts saying "Whattt!?!" and "I don't know..."? (Their respective personal catch phrase) Well, let me tell you, the magic number is 3. That's right! 3 days is all it takes for Mantje to rub off on you. Friday evening, Mag and I invited ourselves to Mantje's for dinner. Mas prepared a wonderful meal of steak, lamb chops and scallops - just like you see in 4 star restaurants.  On Saturday, Mantje joined us for a quick game of 9 hole golf, then we had dinner at I Love Sushi in Bellevue. On Sunday, Mantje organized a full 18 hole golf excursion at Willow's Run. We walked the entire 6 miles (!) and played an excellent round of golf under the tutelage of Mantje..a little left, a little right, a little lower (as in lower score, geddit??)

Happy Birthday Marilyn!

September 8th is my older sister, Marilyn's birthday.  To me, Marilyn is a gentle, kind and cheerful person.  But as you can tell from the photos below, she can really let her hair down and act like a nut.  Happy Birthday sis!

Hmm...what did we do this weekend?

The weather was perfect this weekend - sunny and in the 70s.  Unfortunately, we didn't do too much as Will had some deadlines.  We went for a massage after work Friday evening, then went home for dinner after which Will continued to work until 4a.  On Saturday, Will worked from home until about 3p.  Then, we headed over to our friends Nicole and Giles' place to help water their plants and feed their fish while they were out of the country. We then hopped over to Ranch 99 nearby (an Asian grocery store), bought groceries, had dinner, came home, and Will, you guessed it - continued working.  On Sunday, after Mass, we met up with Jim and Kelly and had a lovely picnic lunch at Gasworks Park to soak in the sun.  Then, Will went back to his office to work for a few more hours while I killed time at the nearby mall.  At 6p, Will called it a day and we went to play 9 holes at Willows Run - our first game since moving to Washington. It was really fun and we are glad to be getting back into the *swing*.

Its Sunday night now and as I'm blogging this entry, guess what Will is up to?!  Aiyoh....my poor overworked husband...

Days like these....

I realize that our blog has mostly been about food, fun and fiestas which is really portraying only one facet of our lives. We have our boring ol' mundane days too.  We just don't tend to take photos of them but I did this past Thursday evening: instead of going home after a full day's work, we picked up dinner and went back to Will's office until about 11p.  See that green chair and computer by Will?  That's my station.  I watched 3 episodes of "The Office" online, ordered 4 pairs of shorts for Will and found a cute handbag which I'm considering.  Pretty productive eh?
